「觀察、拆解、重新組合」，是達文西一生中面對於繪畫、雕塑、機械發明、解剖等不同領域時，相同的原則。在學徒時期，他為了畫天使翅膀，長時間臨摹翅膀與鳥身連結的方式。他在大自然與人造發明物中，尋找「驅策萬物生長、蛻變」的內在力量。他觀察鳶尾花從種子、發芽到開花的過程；他從鳥類翅膀結構想像不存在的人造飛行器；他挑戰製作當時的技術不可能完成的巨型雕像；他為了研究解剖學而剖開數百具屍體；他將城市空間視為如人體般，複雜的、有機的動態系統，設計心目中的理想都市……

原本在馬戲和合唱中都具有的表演元素，在《達文西的notebook》中將不會被徹底顛覆，但會被打散，再重新結構，並透過和達文西在藝術作品、科技發明、建築設計的對話，演繹新的表演文本。

導演｜王嘉明
國立台灣大學地理系。國立台北藝術大學劇場藝術研究所導演組。現為「莎士比亞的妹妹們的劇團」團長。 創作一向具有複雜曲式與兼具實驗性/ 大眾化的特點，美學體現於排練場的工作程序中，並藉由與設計的合作，鑽研實驗劇場空間和聲音的使用，並透過表演形式的特殊設計，與演員共同挖掘、面對和思考劇場表演的可能性。 參與相當多跨界，如舞蹈、影像、崑曲、歌劇、京劇、歌仔戲、打擊樂團、國樂團、弦樂團、布袋戲、視覺裝置藝術、復興劇校雜技團、DJ、VJ、地下樂團…等。

表演團隊｜拉縴人男聲合唱團
德國樂評讚譽：「來自東方的聲音奇蹟」 中國時報：「震攝全場，直通宇宙」的天籟美聲 2008、2012、2016傳藝金曲獎「最佳詮釋（演唱）」獎得主 拉縴人男聲合唱團（以下簡稱「拉縴人」），為臺灣知名的男聲合唱團，前身為成功高中校友合唱團，於1998年正式立案並更名為「拉縴人男聲合唱團」，歷經唐天鳴老師、聶焱庠老師，現由松下耕老師擔任藝術總監、洪晴瀠老師擔任音樂總監暨指揮、王思涵老師擔任鋼琴合作。成立以來除了積極參與國內外合唱賽事，也致力於推廣合唱藝術及創新展演；近年來更進行專輯錄製與發行，以多種型式展現合唱藝術的魅力。

表演團隊｜福爾摩沙馬戲團
福爾摩沙馬戲團（以下簡稱FOCA）成立於2011年，以臺灣美麗寶島的驕傲所命名，結合傳統文化、在地文化、街頭文化及劇場藝術，以創造屬於臺灣多樣化的當代馬戲藝術為宗旨，媒合各類表演型態，發展獨具一格的肢體語彙。FOCA的團隊成員來自各種不同的表演領域，包括特技、雜耍、街舞、當代舞蹈、武術、戲劇等，為國內唯一擁有超過二十位正職團員的當代馬戲團隊。也是唯一自2017起持續獲得臺灣政府年度獎助的馬戲團隊。

Observing, Dismantling, and Reassembling are the principles that Leonardo da Vinci has used throughout his life when dealing with different fields such as painting, sculpture, mechanical invention, and anatomy. During his apprenticeship, he spent long hours drawing from the way the wings are connected to the body of a bird in order to paint angel wings. He searched for the inner power that "drives the growth and transformation of all things" in nature and man-made inventions. He observed the process of iris from seed to blooming; he imagined non-existent artificial flying machines from the structure of bird wings; he challenged to make giant statues that were technically impossible at the time; he dissected hundreds of corpses in order to study anatomy; he regarded urban space as a complex, organic dynamic system like the human body, and designed the ideal city in his mind. The performance elements originally found in circus and chorus will not be completely subverted in Leonardo da Vinci's Notebooks , but will be broken up and re-structured. The new performance texts will be interpreted through dialogues with his artworks, technological inventions, and architectural designs.

Director｜Wang Chia-Ming
Geography graduate from National Taiwan University and theatre studies graduate from Taipei National University of the Arts, Wang Chia-Ming is currently the head of Shakespeare’s Wild Sisters Group. Wang hopes to create works that are complex and experimental, yet appealing to the masses through different methods of performances, discovering together with fellow actors the possibilities towards a thinking theatre. Wang had previous experiences as a director for music videos and commercials, as well as being an acting coach and director of large-scale events. He was invited to be the director for the third section of the opening ceremony of the Kaohsiung World Games in 2009, and in 2014, an adjudicator for the 51st Golden Horse preliminary/ final selection. From 2014 to 2016, he was the curator and director for the Golden Melody Awards.

Performer｜Taipei Male Choir
Taipei Male Choir (TMC) was founded in 1997. Since 2003, TMC has been invited to many international choral festivals and has won several important awards. TMC has released four CDs of classical and contemporary male choral music and won the Best Performance Award at three sessions of Golden Melody Award（2008, 2011, 2016）in Taiwan.

Performer｜Formosa Circus Art
“Formosa Circus Art” is named after this beautiful island, Taiwan and was established in 2011. Its purpose is to develop the various contemporary circus arts of Taiwan, mixing them with other styles of performance including traditional forms, acrobatics, street culture and theatre arts; trying to create a physical vocabulary that is unique in Taiwan. FOCA’s team members come from many different fields of performing arts, including among others acrobatics, juggling, dance and drama, which makes FOCA the only circus company in Taiwan that has over ten full-time members. Also, FOCA is the only circus company that has continuously received the Taiwan Government's annual grants since 2017.
